british art-rock band no-man (tim bownes & stewen wilson w mick karn, richard barbieri, steve jansen, ben coleman) recorded heaven taste in the studio sessions in summer 1992. it got first released as a complete 21 mins version on painting paradise ep on one little indian (1993). the track drew attention in the rising ambient techno scene and got played by djs like mixmaster morris. the track fuses ambient techno with art rock and features a distinctive fretless bass solo by mick karn. this super sound 45rpm 12- features a steven wilson edited 11.21 mins version of the original and on b-side jimi tenor s rearrange with some solos with flute and keyboard. file under: ambient techno

basil & rogers is a sleazy, california disco duo made up of heru (dj) johnny basil and body rogers. basil, a multi-instrumentalist, long-time record collector, and energy healer is a man that s been making music for a long time under many different guises and in many different styles. heru avenger (acid/psych rock), non stop (electronic/free jazz), baast (kraut rock/jazz funk), and kandi jones (slut rock) are just a few of his projects, past and present. most of this music has been around for the entirety of the 90 s and 2000 s without being heard because despite basil s outspoken appearance (described by many as looking like iggy pop s twin brother and would never be caught wearing a t-shirt no matter the location) he s very quiet about his musical output. body rogers is also part of the non stop group and is a master of electronics and engineering. on the basil & rogers project the two have made a disco 12- that is influenced by classic-era dance music while still being completely unique and far from conforming. it s crazy, it s sexy, and it s sleazy. tune in .

“prÉvision #02” is the second compilation and third vinyl of forecast label, french record label originated in 2012. it gathers six house, electronica and techno tracks in varied styles for various artists. the original idea was to make artists exchanges ideas together to create tracks that would exactly define each one’s identity. while cheaper shepherd’s “weasels” show again their shiny and catchy vintage house, romain play explores several music genders through a train trip across jazz, psychedelic rock and house. the new comer roman s releases his first track ever, showing his talent for groove and minimal house. on the b-side, d°c, breilitz and sir squi explore three kinds of techno. first track of this side, “erebus” shows a kompakt-like new wave but club-oriented techno. “raw interference” could without any doubt be played at berghain. last track, “(crashed)” is on the psychedelic slope of techno. it uses a sitar, to ends the compilation on a shinier note.

cyclo is relaunching with an absolute classic track from its extensive back catalogue. produced by derrick carter & chris nazuka the chicago house classic rednail kidz -do my thing- was an underground smash when it was first released at the end of the 90 s. clubs nights such as space at bar rhumba rocked hard to the incessant groove of this track. we have included a remastered original with 3 remixes: the nacho marco remix takes -do my thing- into big room territory. nacho works closely with roland and on this remix you can witness big 303 lines and huge bass that will rock most discerning floors. hallo halo (jon dasilva & jonas nilsson) remix the track superbly and add their trademark warm tech sound. mystic bill creates a stunning, deep, chicago inspired, sonic journey of a remix where less is, most certainly, more. we hope you will enjoy these tracks as much as we are!

longstreth lud bombino in sein applehead studio in new york ein, um gemeinsam an “azel” zu arbeiten. und dabei erwies sich longstretherwies als fantastischer produzent. er hat großen respekt vor der musikalischen tradition der tuareg und führte die sessions mit sanfter und geschickter hand. fans von bombino und tuareg-musik werden ein paar bemerkenswerte innovationen auf diesem album entdecken. die erste neuerung ist die einführung eines völlig neuen stils, für den bombino hier pionierarbeit leistet. die sonnige mischung aus blues/rock und einem reggae-onedropandbounce-beat nennt er liebevoll “tuareggae”. eine weitere neuerung ist die erstmalige verwendung von westlichen vokal-harmonien in tuareg-musik-aufnahmen (durch longstreths einfluss), was den songs eine völlig neue tiefe und farbe verleiht. “azel” ist der name einer kleinen wüstenstadt, nur ein paar kilometer von agadez entfernt
